The Chicago Cubs try to draw even against the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series on Sunday night at Citi Field in New York, and will turn to Jake Arrieta in Game 2.

New York leads the best-of-seven series, 1-0.


Arrieta is 13-0 in his last 14 starts, including a win over the Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLDS on Monday. He allowed four earned runs in that win, which was news for the right-hander considering allowed four earned runs total in his previous 13 starts. Over that unbeatable 14-start stretch, Arrieta posted a 0.70 ERA with 109 strikeouts and 16 walks in 103 innings.
The Mets won Game 1 behind a strong performance by Matt Harvey, who pitched into the eighth inning and allowed only two runs in a 4-2 New York victory.
Daniel Murphy hit a home run in Game 1, his third consecutive game with a home run to tie a Mets franchise record. Murphy in six games in the playoffs so far his year is hitting .320 (8-for-25) with four home runs, a double, six runs and six RBI.
Noah Syndergaard starts for the Mets in Game 2. He started Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers, then pitched a scoreless inning in relief in Game 5 on Thursday. Syndergaard put up a 3.68 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 7⅓ innings during the NLDS.
TBS will televise Sunday’s game with first pitch scheduled for 8:07 p.m. ET. Ernie Johnson will call the game, alongside analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken Jr., along with reporters Sam Ryan and Matt Winer.
