The New York Mets wasted no time in dispatching the Chicago Cubs in the National League Championship Series, taking Game 4 on Wednesday night, 8-3. New York got home runs from Lucas Duda, who drove in five runs, catcher Travis d'Arnaud, and second baseman Daniel Murphy, for the latter his sixth straight postseason game with a home run to set a new major league record.
Mets NLCS 2015: Celebrate New York’s pennant win with the latest gear, apparel and more

New York outscored Chicago 21-8 in the four-game sweep.
The Mets are returning to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2000, when they faced their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, in a Subway Series. Led by manager Bobby Valentine, the Mets lost the series in five games, winning only Game 3 at Shea Stadium. In the intervening years, the Mets made just one playoff appearance that ended in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS.
The Mets are currently in a 29-year title drought, last winning a championship in 1986 against the Boston Red Sox. The wait won't be that long for the start of the 2015 World Series (Oct. 27), but it still gives you plenty of time to celebrate the team's fifth pennant and to pick up the latest team gear. Head over to the SB Nation sports shop to buy t-shirts, caps and more.
