The Kansas City Royals are making a repeat trip to the World Series following a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on Friday night.

Ben Zobrist and Mike Moustakas put the Royals ahead 2-0 with a home run each and saw that lead extend to 3-1 in the seventh. But Toronto's Jose Bautista, who homered in the fourth, launched a two-run blast to tie the game in the eighth. A rain delay in the middle of the inning, though, quashed the Jays' momentum. When play resumed after a 41-minute delay, Lorenzo Cain worked a leadoff walk and then scored from first on a bloop single to right field. In the top of the ninth Wade Davis, who hadn't thrown a pitch in an hour, sent his team back to the World Series by getting Josh Donaldson to ground out with runners on second and third.

The Royals will have home field advantage again as a result of the American League winning the All-Star Game, 6-3. Last year, though, playing Game 7 in Kansas City didn't help the Royals. The San Francisco Giants used starter Madison Bumgarner to pitch the final five innings of the game to maintain a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the ninth, the Royals failed to score the tying run from third base, watching Salvador Perez pop out in foul territory to end the game.

The World Series doesn’t start until Tuesday, Oct. 27, giving you plenty of time to pick up the latest Royals T-shirts, hats and other apparel. Head over to the SB Nation sports shop to find your gear to display your fandom.
