MLB playoffs 2015: Bracket, schedule, scores and more

A recap of all 36 postseason games in 27 days in October and November.

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Even though the World Series was over in just five games, the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets gave us a Fall Classic to remember, with Kansas City prevailing thanks to three late comeback wins for their first World Series championship since 1985.

The 2015 postseason is now over, with 36 games in 27 days reducing 10 playoff teams to one single champion, the Royals.

Both League Championship Series brought us quick leads for the teams with home field advantage. The New York Mets, after a hard-fought five-game NLDS win over the Los Angeles Dodgers, swept aside the Chicago Cubs in four games in the NLCS for their first trip to the World Series in 15 years.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Texas Rangers in an epic five-game ALDS, and the Kansas City Royals did the same against the Houston Astros, setting up a rematch of the 1985 ALCS. Kansas City then beat Toronto in six games for a repeat trip to the World Series, something the AL hasn’t seen since 2010-2011 with Texas.

This followed an exciting Divisional Series round that saw 19 of a possible 20 games played, with three series decided with a winner-take-all fifth game.
