Royals vs. Mets, World Series 2015: Time, TV schedule and team news for Game 5

Four teams have won the World Series after trailing three games to one. The last to do so was Kansas City in 1985.

The New York Mets turn to Matt Harvey to try to extend their season in Game 5 of the 2015 World Series against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday night at Citi Field in New York. Kansas City leads the best-of-seven series three games to one.

With the Royals’ 5-3 win in Game 4 on Saturday night, Kansas City is a victory away from its first championship since 1985.

Harvey was 8-3 with a 2.23 ERA in 17 starts at Citi Field during the regular season. The starter recorded 116 strikeouts against only 16 walks in 113 innings at home. In the postseason, he has won both home starts by posting a 2.84 ERA with 16 strikeouts and four walks in 12⅔ innings.

The Royals got to him for three runs in six innings in a no-decision in Game 1, a nail-biter won in extra innings by Kansas City. That brought Harvey to 208 innings on the season, his first back after recovery from Tommy John surgery. It has been a very good season for Harvey, putting the talk in September of potentially shutting down his season at 180 innings well behind him heading into his final start of 2015.

“I think you still have to stay with the game plan, and regarding the innings stuff, I think that’s kind of all taken care of,” Harvey told reporters on Saturday. “And obviously completely thrown out of the window.”

Edinson Volquez rejoined the Royals on Saturday after he left to be with his family because his father's death before Game 1. Volquez, who did not learn of his father's passing until after his Game 1 start, also allowed three runs in six innings on Tuesday, like Harvey.

FOX coverage of Game 5 of the World Series begins at 8 p.m. Joe Buck will call the game alongside analysts Tom Verducci and Harold Reynolds, and reporters Ken Rosenthal and Erin Andrews.

The game will be available online via the FOX Sports Go app with authentication required via a television provider.
