MLB and MLBPA agreed on a new policy in August that allows MLB commissioner Rob Manfred to decide the severity of punishment on a case-by-case basis with no minimum or maximum established penalty.
The 32-year-old Reyes finished last season with the Rockies after being traded from Toronto. The Rockies released a statement and said they were “extremely disappointed” to learn of the allegations.
