That will be followed by Manager of the Year on Tuesday, Cy Young Award on Wednesday, and finally with Most Valuable Player awards on Thursday.
All four awards shows will be televised by MLB Network beginning at 6 p.m. ET, with the hour-long show hosted by Greg Amsinger, who will be joined by BBWAA secretary-treasurer Jack O’Connell and a number of MLB Network analysts.
National League finalists
Bryant may be the favorite, but root for Duffy on the off-chance we may get a player named Matt Duffy winning Rookie of the Year in back-to-back seasons. The Houston Astros have a corner infielder of the same name who won Pacific Coast League MVP honors in 2015 in Triple-A.
American League finalists
All three AL infielders had fantastic starts to their career in 2015, and none of them played in the majors before June. Sano didn’t join the Twins until July 2, but hit 18 home runs in just 80 games. But this award figures to be between the two shortstops: Correa had 22 home runs and 14 steals in just 99 games for the playoff-bound Astros, while Lindor was a defensive whiz while hitting .313/.353/.482 in 99 games of his own for Cleveland.
