The Kansas City Royals captured their first World Series title in 30 years on Sunday night with a win over the New York Mets in Game 5 at Citi Field. The champs will return home to celebrate with a parade and rally on Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo., the city announced on Sunday night.

The Royals will rally at Union Station in downtown Kansas City, Mo. on Tuesday afternoon.
Kansas City Mayor Sly James and Jackson County executive Mike Sanders made the announcement on Sunday:
The rally will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Grand Boulevard in between the Spirit Center and Kansas City Power and Light District. The 2.3-mile route will head north to Ninth Street, east to Oak Street, south to Truman and then west back to Grand.
The parade will continue south on Grand, turning west on Pershing Road toward Union Station, with the victory rally taking place on a stage in front of Union Station beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
