It appears we are running out of ace starting pitchers who will still be available at baseball's winter meetings next week. The latest to sign is Zack Greinke, who chose the Diamondbacks over the rival Dodgers and Giants, per Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Zack Greinke, Diamondbacks reportedly agree to 6-year, $206.5 million deal
Greinke will reportedly get $206.5 million over six years.

The deal, pending a physical per Rosenthal, is worth a reported $206.5 million over six years per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, which at $34.3 million is the highest average annual value in MLB history.
Greinke signs three days after David Price agreed to a seven-year, $217 million contract with the Boston Red Sox. On Monday, the Detroit Tigers made official their five-year, $110 million contract with Jordan Zimmermann.
Greinke, 32, was 19-3 with the Dodgers in 2015, leading the major leagues with a 1.66 ERA and 0.844 WHIP. He finished second in National League Cy Young Award voting, but did take home his second straight Gold Glove.
After averaging 17 wins, 201 innings, 185 strikeouts, a 2.30 ERA, and a 156 ERA+ in his three years in Los Angeles, Greinke opted out of his contract at the end of the season to become a free agent. He was three seasons into a six-year, $147 million contract signed with the Dodgers in December 2012.
The Dodgers made Greinke a qualifying offer of one year, $15.8 million, which he declined, meaning the Diamondbacks will forfeit their first-round pick in the 2016 draft. The Dodgers as compensation for losing Greinke will receive a supplemental draft pick between the first and second rounds.
Greinke, in parts of 12 major league seasons, is 142-93 with a 3.35 ERA, with 1,887 strikeouts in 2,094⅔ innings. He won the AL Cy Young Award with the Royals in 2009.
