Adrian Gonzalez is having himself quite a start to the season. The Dodgers first baseman is on fire against the Padres, going 4-of-4 with three home runs on Wednesday night. This is normal for Gonzalez through three games this season.
Consider:
- Gonzalez is the first player to hit five home runs through his team’s first three games of a season. In baseball history! They’ve been playing baseball for a long time.
- Gonzalez is the first National League player with three or more hits in first three games since Orlando Cepeda in 1963
- It’s the 19th different time in Dodgers history a player has hit three home runs.
