Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton continued his torrid June, driving in all four runs in a 4-1 home win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday evening. The game's most prodigious home run hitter is on pace for his best season yet in 2015.
Giancarlo Stanton homers again, on pace for 59 HR
Stanton’s career-high for home runs in a month is 12, set in May 2012. He has eight home runs in 12 games this June, with 15 games remaining in the month.

Stanton hit a two-run double in the first inning for the Marlins, then added this two-run shot down the left-field line in the sixth against David Hale.

— #VoteMarlins (@Marlins) June 13, 2015 There wasn’t anything special about the distance of this home run, a rarity among Stanton dingers, which are routinely among the longest by anyone in the game. The home run gave Stanton five bombs in his last six games, and 10 taters in his last 14 games.
During that 14-game stretch, which dates back to May 30, Stanton is hitting .370/.433/1.019 with 17 RBI and 14 runs scored.
Stanton leads MLB with 23 home runs and 59 RBI, and is on pace for a whopping 59 home runs on the season. Stanton, whose 155 home runs since the start of 2011 are just one shy of Miguel Cabrera for the most in baseball during that span, tied his career-high with 37 home runs in 2014.
Expect Stanton to shatter his personal record this season.
