The first half of the College World Series got underway on Saturday, with Virginia rallying against Arkansas and Florida destroying Miami. The other half joins the party on Sunday -- national seeds TCU and LSU tangle in the early game and Cal State Fullerton takes on defending champ Vanderbilt in the late game.
College World Series 2015: Times, TV schedule and live stream
TCU-LSU and Cal State Fullerton-Vandy are on the slate on Sunday.

It’s still too early to say for sure whether the new baseballs are having a significant effect on scoring, though we did see two balls leave the yard in the Arkansas-Virginia game (Florida’s 13-runs agains Miami were sponsored largely by singles). But with the quality of pitching on the mound Sunday, don’t expect offensive fireworks. The nightcap has Vandy’s Carson Fulmer squaring off against Fullerton’s Thomas Eshelman, both of whom went in the first two rounds of the MLB Draft (Fulmer was No. 8 overall).
The early game has TCU ace Preston Morrison, who pitched into the 10th and gave up just two earned runs in his last outing, an extra-innings win against Texas A&M’s in the supers. We won’t get to see him face LSU’s freshman phenom, Alex Lange, as the Tigers are throwing Jared Poche in the opener. But Poche’s only lost one game all season and was lights out in the super regional-clinching win over Louisiana-Lafayette.
