College World Series 2015: Times, TV schedule and live stream for Monday

Virginia steps in front of the buzzsaw that is the Florida Gators, while Arkansas and Miami battle for survival.

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

At this point, the question isn’t really if anyone will beat Florida in Omaha. The question is, will anybody even get close?

After Florida teed off for a 15-3 win over Miami -- yes, the nationally-seeded Miami team that hadn’t give up more than six runs in a game since April -- the Gators have now outscored their opponents, 98-21, during a 10-game win streak that started in the SEC Tournament. So, can Virginia, which rallied against Arkansas to join Florida in Monday night’s winners bracket game, finally give Florida a game?

That depends on the left arm of Wahoos starter Brandon Waddell. On one hand, the junior has tons of postseason experience: he’s making his ninth career NCAA Tournament start, and the last time he took the mound in Omaha, he threw a complete game to beat Vanderbilt in the second game of the 2014 national championship series. But Waddell hasn’t been the same this season, going 3-5 with a 4.15 ERA and averaging less than six innings per start. His last time out, Maryland rung him up for double digit hits in the super regional round.

One thing to watch in this one will be Virginia’s running game. A team that showed up in Omaha with just 62 stolen bases in 61 games put their track cleats on against the Arkansas Razorbacks, swiping five bags in eight attempts. And while Florida has allowed 24 fewer stolen bases than Arkansas this season, the steal success rate against both teams is identical: 67 percent.

Speaking of Arkansas, it will try to bounce back against the recently pummeled Hurricanes in the afternoon game. The loser has an early flight home, while the winner bounces back up to take on the loser of Florida-Virginia on Wednesday.

We’ll also have a resumption of Cal State Fullerton vs. Vanderbilt, which was suspended in the sixth inning after lightning and rain interrupted the game late Sunday night. That one picks up in the bottom of the sixth with Fullerton up 3-0, though Vandy is threatening with a runner on third and two outs.

Here are the game times and tune-in info for Monday (all times Eastern).
