Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left Thursday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays in the sixth inning with mild hamstring strain after making a throw to home.

Harper fielded a single to right field by Asdrubal Cabrera and after throwing home immediately fell to the ground, holding his left leg. After meeting with a team trainer and Nationals manager Matt Williams, Harper exited the game and limped off the field under his own power.

Clint Robinson replaced Harper in right field, batting fourth.
After the game, Williams said Harper is day-to-day.

Harper was 1-for-3 with an RBI on Thursday and has arguably been the best player in baseball in 2015, hitting .344/.476/.720 with 22 home runs, 53 RBI and 49 runs scored in 65 games. He is tied for third in the majors in home runs, third in RBI and first in walks (54).
