MLB All-Star Weekend 2015: Schedule, events, TV coverage and streaming

The 86th MLB All-Star Game is Tuesday night on Fox, but there are a few days worth of events in and around Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati that are worth keeping track of.

Frank Victores-USA TODAY Sports

The majority of the baseball world descends upon Cincinnati for the 2015 MLB All-Star Game, which takes place on Tuesday night at Great American Ballpark. But there are several days worth of events in the Queen City surrounding the game, some as early as Saturday.

Here is a look at the schedule for All-Star Game Week in Cincinnati.

All times Eastern

Saturday

9 a.m.-8 p.m.: All-Star FanFest takes place all day, and is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the World Series champion 1990 Reds team. This is more an event for the people in Cincinnati as opposed to those watching on television or online.

8-10 p.m.: The All-Star concert, which was going to feature Ariana Grande until she was sidelined by health issues. Now, Demi Lovato will headline the event, performing her new single “Cool For The Summer.”

Sunday

3 p.m.: MLB Futures Game, which will feature dueling rosters of top prospects, the U.S. Team vs. the World Team, the latter with players from seven different countries. (MLB Network)

Monday

1-1:30 p.m.: All-Star press conference. (Fox Sports 1)

1:45-2:30 p.m.: National League media availability. This is usually when the starting pitchers and/or lineups are introduced. (Fox Sports 1)

2:45-3:15 p.m.: Home Run Derby press conference. (Fox Sports 1)

3:30-4:15 p.m.: American League media availability. (Fox Sports 1)

8 p.m.: Home Run Derby, with eight contestants in a new single-elimination bracket format for three rounds, with five minutes worth of swings in each round. There are bonuses for hitting the ball far (60 extra seconds for a pair of 420-foot homers, 30 seconds for a 475-foot shot). The event features veterans Albert Pujols and two-time Home Run Derby winner Prince Fielder, and also features a pair of rookies in Kris Bryant and Joc Pederson. (ESPN)

Tuesday

1-2 p.m.: All-Star red carpet show, with each player arriving in awards-show fashion for the gala event. The sponsor is Chevrolet, so expect their cars to be the ones transporting the players through the streets of Cincinnati to Great American Ballpark. (MLB Network)

6-7 p.m.: MLB Whiparound, a preview show with host Kevin Burkhardt joined by Frank Thomas and Pete Rose. (Fox Sports 1)

7 p.m.: All-Star pregame show. (FOX)

7:30 p.m.: The 86th MLB All-Star Game. Finally, the midsummer classic itself arrives, beginning with the pomp and circumstance of the pregame ceremonies and All-Star player introductions, always one of the best parts of the night. Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci will call the game. (FOX)

The game will also be available to watch online via Fox Sports Go.
