The Angels continued being aggressive on the trade market Tuesday, acquiring not one but two outfielders. The club got David DeJesus from the Rays in exchange for minor league pitcher Eduar Lopez, and added David Murphy from the Indians in exchange for minor league shortstop Eric Stamets. Both deals have been announced by the team.
Angels continue outfield pursuit, acquire David DeJesus and David Murphy

This comes one day after the Angels acquired Shane Victorino from the Red Sox.
Angels left fielders this season have hit just .212/.277/.312 with five home runs in 98 games. The club has struggled all year to surround all-world Mike Trout in center field with productive outfielders, though Kole Calhoun has done well in right field, hitting .276/.329/.432 on the season, including .325/.367/.614 with six home runs and 20 RBI in July.
DeJesus, 35, is hitting .259/.323/.375 with five home runs on the season. Murphy, 33, is hitting .296/.344/.437 with five home runs. Both hit left-handed, while Victorino, a former switch-hitter, hits right-handed.
DeJesus has a $5 million club option for 2016 with a $1 million buyout. Murphy has a $7 million club option for next year with a $500,000 buyout. The Angels made room on the 40-man roster for DeJesus and Murphy by designating pitchers Jeremy McBryde and Vinnie Pestano for assignment.
