A fan who fell from the upper deck during Saturday night's game between the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees at Turner Field died on Saturday night.

“We have received confirmation the the fan involved in the accident at this evening’s game has passed away,” the Braves said in a statement. “The Atlanta Braves offer their deepest condolences to the family.”
The fan fell during action in the seventh inning of Saturday’s game, and play continued as stadium workers tended to the fan. The aftermath was also briefly mentioned during the Fox national broadcast.

Police told WSB TV in Atlanta that the fan was in “grave” condition upon arrival at the hospital.
The Braves earlier statement just after the fall was brief: “There was an accident during tonight’s game involving a fan. The fan was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital.”
