Sure, Aaron Judge is really tall. He’s a big baseball boy, the biggest of the many baseball boys.
Aaron Judge makes another spectacular postseason catch
The Astros could have really used that hit.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have skill as well, especially when it comes to making impressive catches in the outfield. Just look at the one he made in ALCS Game 3 on a hit off Yulieski Gurriel’s bat.
Down 3-0, the Astros could have really used a hit — especially one that probably would have given them some extra bases. But Judge said “NOPE!” and kept that ball for himself.
Not only is it a great catch, but if you watch it again you see Judge has to go a long way to even be in a position to jump for the catch, let alone to make it. Of course, even that looks effortless because Judge’s tree trunk legs can cover great distances without looking like he’s even going that fast.
That wall might still have an Aaron Judge-sized imprint in it by the time Game 4 starts tomorrow afternoon, but his commitment to the cause was worth it. Catch made, baserunner avoided.
