The Colorado Rockies announced their active roster for the National League Wild Card Game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night at Chase Field in Phoenix (8 p.m. ET, TBS).

Colorado’s roster includes 15 position players and 10 pitchers, headlined by starting pitcher Jon Gray.

The 25-year-old right-hander was drafted in the first round by the Rockies in 2013 — the third overall pick — and in his third season has ascended to the top of Colorado’s rotation. Gray was 10-4 with a 3.67 ERA — a 136 ERA+ -- in 20 starts in 2017, with 112 strikeouts and 30 walks in 110⅓ innings.

Gray missed 11 weeks with a broken bone in his left foot, but hit his stride just after the All-Star break, posting a 2.64 ERA in his last 13 starts, never allowing more than three runs in that stretch.

“I know the thing earlier in the year was a bad thing, but, then again, I feel fresh right now. I feel like it’s midseason,” Gray told reporters Tuesday. “So, yeah, I’m grateful for that kind of. It’s a good time.”

He last pitched on Sept. 27, and will have six days of rest heading into Wednesday night’s start.

“Jon’s been very solid for us about the last six, seven weeks the way he’s thrown the ball. He’s set up for this physically,” manager Bud Black said on Tuesday. “You can look at what he’s done statistically. His performance. This is the guy that we wanted on the mound.”

TBS will televise the NL Wild Card Game on Wednesday, with Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling, and Sam Ryan on the call. The game will be streamed online through TBS.com and the Watch TBS app.
