The World Baseball Classic continues on Wednesday and the United States will be in a pivotal matchup with Venezuela.

That match will take place at a reasonable hour in Japan, but in the United States, it will air on MLB Network and ESPN Deportes at 6 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning. The other game on the schedule will come much later as it’s part of Pool F from San Diego in the United States.
Wednesday’s San Diego matchup will pit Venezuela against the United States at 9 p.m., also on MLB Network and ESPN Deportes. A live stream of both matches will be available online via WatchESPN, though that only includes the Spanish-language stream. With login credentials for the proper satellite or cable provider, a live stream will be available via MLB.com.
Felix Hernandez is expected to make his second start for Venezuela, while Drew Smyly will take the mound for the United States. Hernandez gave up an earned run, two hits, and walked two in 2.2 innings against Puerto Rico in his first 2017 WBC appearance.
Smyly hasn’t seen as much action, going five shutout innings with five strikeouts and one hit allowed in spring training. He’ll have to be at his best with Miguel Cabrera, Jose Altuve, Victor Martinez, and more in the batting lineup for Venezuela.
