The final day of spring training includes a bevy of exhibition games, but one stands out. The Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals will play a game on Saturday afternoon at the United States Naval Academy.

The two teams will play at Max Bishop Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, the home of Navy’s baseball team. Midshipmen and several members of the U.S. Navy will be in attendance for the game.
ESPN will televise the 2 p.m. ET game, with online streaming available through WatchESPN.
This is the second military-themed MLB game in the last two seasons. In 2016, the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins played a July 4 game at Fort Bragg, the army base in North Carolina, though that was a regular season contest.
Saturday’s game is between a pair of 2016 division winners, with both the Nationals and Red Sox primed for contention in 2017 as well. Both teams also made big additions through trades with the Chicago White Sox this winter.
Boston nabbed Chris Sale to slot in a rotation that already includes David Price and reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello, while Washington added outfielder Adam Eaton in another blockbuster deal.
Couple those additions with young stars like Bryce Harper and Trea Turner for the Nationals, and Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts with the Red Sox, and Saturday could be a fun matchup, even if it doesn’t count.
After Saturday’s exhibition contest, both teams are off Sunday before opening their regular seasons at home. On Monday afternoon, the Nationals host the Marlins, while the Red Sox welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Fenway Park in an interleague matchup.
