There were already three regular season baseball games on Sunday, but in the traditional sense Opening Day of the 2017 MLB season is Monday, with 12 games on the schedule.
MLB Opening Day 2017: Game times, TV schedule, and live stream
12 games are on Monday’s slate, including Yoenis Cespedes and the Mets hosting the Braves.

ESPN and ESPN2 will televise four of these games nationally, including four 2016 playoff teams in those games.
The New York Mets reached the National League Wild Card Game in 2016, but look to get back to their 2015 division winning ways this year. They open their season at home against the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field at 1 p.m. ET.
With dynamic slugger Yoenis Cespedes re-signed to a four-year, $110 million contract, and Zach Wheeler back to rejoin an already formidable rotation, there is reason for excitement in New York, which will turn to ace Noah Syndergaard on opening day.
Julio Teheran starts for the Braves, his fourth consecutive opening day start for Atlanta.
Clayton Kershaw makes his seventh straight opening day start for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who host the San Diego Padres at 4 p.m. in another ESPN game. The only longer active streak of opening day starts belongs to Felix Hernandez, who is set to make his ninth straight opening day start for the Seattle Mariners, on the road against Dallas Keuchel and the Houston Astros.
There are a total of six former Cy Young Award winners starting on the mound on Monday, including Justin Verlander starting for the Detroit Tigers in Chicago against the White Sox.
Defending American League Cy Young winner Rick Porcello starts for the Boston Red Sox, who host the Pittsburgh Pirates in the only interleague contest on Monday’s schedule.
In addition to Hernandez, Kershaw, Keuchel, Porcello, and Verlander, Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber — the 2014 American League Cy Young winner — starts for the defending AL champions in Arlington against Yu Darvish and the defending AL West division winners, the Texas Rangers, in another ESPN telecast.
