The 2017 MLB Draft is a three-day affair, but many of the big decisions in the sport will be made on Monday with the first two rounds. The first 75 picks will take place on the opening night of the draft, which will be televised by MLB Network.

The coverage begins with a preview show at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the draft itself at 7 p.m., with representatives from all 30 MLB teams in Secaucus, NJ. Greg Amsinger, Peter Gammons, Harold Reynolds, Dan O’Dowd, and Jonathan Mayo will anchor MLB Network’s coverage.

The coverage will be simulcast on Monday through MLB.com.

The picks on Monday consist of the first round, then Competitive Balance Round A, followed by the second round, then Competitive Balance Round B. There are four minutes in between picks in the first round and then one minute between selections through Round 2 (also through Round 10, but that is on Tuesday).

The Houston Astros and Pittsburgh Pirates are the two teams with four picks in the top 75, so they will have a busier Monday than most teams. The Minnesota Twins hold the top overall pick.

Teams will be represented by various former players, managers, or scouts on Monday in New Jersey. Among the dignitaries expected to be in attendance include Hall of Fame third baseman George Brett of the Kansas City Royals, former Cy Young Award winner Randy Jones of the San Diego Padres, and former managers Jim Leyland of the Detroit Tigers and Felipe Alou of the San Francisco Giants.
