Rangers ace Yu Darvish is heading to Los Angeles. To the Dodgers, specifically (sorry, Angels). The trade was first reported right after the trade deadline in a hilariously straightforward tweet by Ken Rosenthal, and despite the endless rumors surrounding the trade, it still felt momentous once it finally went through.

The trade was a big move, and as soon as it was announced that the Dodgers won the Darvish sweepstakes, fans and players immediately reacted and made jokes about it.

Fans were similarly excited about the major trade, especially on a day when only a few of the biggest players on the market actually moved. That included some people who had only recently tweeted that Darvish would be staying in Texas.
Rangers fans are saying goodbye to Darvish (even though he may have been gone at the end of this season anyway), and Los Angeles fans are saying hello to yet another amazing link in the Dodgers’ rotation.
But the important part is that everyone else got to watch people on both sides — and those who just love baseball — freak out on the internet.
