Texas will hand out tiny on-deck circles in honor of Adrian Beltre’s antics

Great baseball giveaway? Or greatest baseball giveaway?

Some of the best moments in baseball stem from players who are absolutely, and without guilt, having fun trolling other teams or coaches. Which is why we love Adrian Beltre so much, since that’s one of his favorite pastimes.

Even better is when teams back up their players by celebrating such trolling. Which is why we love this Texas Rangers game day giveaway so much.

On September 9th, the Rangers will be handing out 15,000 mini on-deck circles in the form of mousepads to further appreciate one of the greatest and most absurd ejections the game has ever seen.

According to SportsDay, “Rangers Executive VP of Awesome Ideas Chuck Morgan” (real title, Texas Rangers Executive Vice President of Ballpark Entertainment and Productions) said of the promotion,

“We just wanted to give the fans their very own Rangers On Deck Circle that they can move around on their desk at work or home. Comes complete with an Adrian Beltre signature and without the fear of being ejected.”

Who wouldn’t want one of those?! The game before, on September 8th, there will be special commemorative 3,000 hit hats for attendees with “special event” tickets, which is a more traditional way to honor Beltre’s recent accomplishment.

But Beltre is not traditional all the time, so why should his team be? This is marvelous.
