Ichiro Suzuki bludgeoned a ball 432 feet for this powerful home run
It’s his longest home run in the Statcast era.

In the Year of Our Lord 2017, in August of a Major League Baseball season, Ichiro Suzuki hit a three-run home run.
Not just a three-run home run but a home run while pinch hitting in the seventh inning of a tied game, at 43 years old. And then he walked over to the bench, chill as ever, and threw his shades back on to watch the rest of the inning.
Oh Ichiro, please never change.
He is now the second-oldest person to ever pinch hit a home run, passing Greg Nettles by 63 days. It’s also by far his longest home run since Statcast started tracking home run statistics, passing his previous best of only (“only”) 391 feet.
He wasn’t the only one setting records, as Giancarlo Stanton hit another home run and set the Marlins’ record for most homers in a month. Dingers for all!
Sorry, Giancarlo, this is Ichiro’s moment. You can hit another home run and set another record tomorrow.
