For many, it’s been a long week. For the Astros and Rangers, who had to relocate from Texas to Florida after Hurricane Harvey’s devastation hit the greater Houston area, it’s hard to tell how exhausted or emotionally impacted they are at this point.
Tropicana Field’s dancing grounds crew guy is back to make you smile
He’s so great.

That goes for many players around the league, of course, but the Astros have the further difficulty of not being home right now to be with their families.
One thing that could make the distance from home easier, and hopefully did during Wednesday night’s game, is the return of Tampa Bay’s dancing grounds crew guy.
He’s back, and as one of the best (or only good) things about Tropicana Field the timing couldn’t have been better.
The Astros and Rangers playing in Florida is a bit surreal, as the stands are filled (at least sort of filled) with fans who are mostly not their own in a city that wasn’t expecting them, and signs encouraging donations surrounding the players instead of the normal branded posters.
So to have dancing grounds crew guy breaking it down and being his usual cheerful self out there is a great development for what is a bit of a weird series.
A lot of his dance moves look like anyone else would get hurt if they tried them on their own, but combined with his energy and commitment it’s a perfect display of energy and excitement.
This is exactly the type of feel good moment a lot of people may have needed most. A bit of fun dancing doesn’t fix everything, but it helps a lot.
