Terry Francona shared an embarrassing story about his scooter and Tyronn Lue

It happens to the best of us.

It happens to everyone at some point or another, right? You have a really embarrassing moment, look around hoping nobody saw it and you can get on with your day pretending it never happened, and then see one of the few people you really didn’t want watching you embarrass yourself.

That’s what happened to Indians manager Terry Francona the other day, as he relayed to reporters pregame on Tuesday.

Apparently, Francona was getting on his scooter to ride to work on Sunday, and...well...

Not only did Tito apparently pull a “14-year old boy trying to get on his bike smoothly only to fall into someone’s garden” but Cavs coach Tyronn Lue witnessed the whole thing. Francona says,

“I really wanted to say hi to him, I was so embarrassed that I just got on and took off across the street.”

Even though Francona tried to play it off like nothing happened and not acknowledge Lue, you know Lue had to have chuckled a bit with the people he was standing with at the time.

It’s a great mental picture all around.
