With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the second inning and runners on first and third, the Brewers’ Eric Sogard made an inning-ending catch that you’ll want to watch a few times.
Brewers’ Eric Sogard makes an inning-ending over the shoulder catch like it’s nothing
Super casual. No big deal.

To keep runs from scoring, Sogard pulled off an over-the-shoulder running catch in which he didn’t turn around to look at the ball fully once. He just tracked it from directly above him and let it fall into his glove.
You know, super casual. Like people do every day. No effort at all!
The catch saved a run and kept the game tied, which it still was multiple innings later. If the Brewers pull the game out in the end this will be a huge turning point. In a playoff race as close as the Brewers are in right now, every catch counts.
Sogard was playing short, and ended up well into the outfield by the time the catch was complete. He ate a little dirt in the process, but that’s all in a day’s work right?
If your jersey doesn’t have grass stains, it’s not fun.
