During the Cardinals’ game against the Brewers on Friday night, a group of protestors unfurled a banner protesting the recent Jason Stockley verdict, where a white police officer was acquitted of killing a black citizen.

Protests have been occurring since the acquittal a fortnight ago, and on Friday a few hundred protestors also marched toward Busch Stadium and gathered to chant “No justice, no baseball!” according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The banner depicted a cardinal, to match St. Louis’ baseball mascot, with #ExpectUs written across the bird’s jersey and the bird holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign.
Across the bottom, in large black letters, the sign said “Stop Killing Us.”
According to the Post-Dispatch, the protesters were escorted out of the stadium by police after the unfurling.
The demonstration mirrors a similar banner unfurling at Fenway Park a few weeks ago, which was centered on overall race issues in America.
