The Twins are having a Big Sexy Night because there’s never a bad time to celebrate Bartolo Colon

Finally, something to do in September in Minnesota.

Don’t focus on the fact that Bartolo Colon hasn’t even been a member of the Twins for a full season at this point. Instead focus on the fact there’s never a bad time to celebrate Big Sexy with a themed night at the ballpark.

The Twins are having a special Big Sexy Night on Sept. 15, when they’ll be facing off with Toronto and presumably hoping they will be more stable in the wild card race than they are right now (at only a game up on the Angels).

Buying a ticket to the game gets you a seat AND a pretty awesome Big Sexy shirt (which, incidentally, you should definitely send to this writer if you don’t want to keep it for some weird reason).

The best part is that there’s definitely not a reason to be having this theme night, suddenly, now except for the fact that it’s an easy hook to sell tickets and Bartolo won’t be around much longer to celebrate.

In fact, it’s probably safer if every team with availability to slot a theme night in before the end of the season does so with a Bartolo Colon night. Time is running out to hand out Big Sexy T-shirts (which, again, should definitely be sent to this writer pending availability because they’re awesome) and reminisce about his career.
