Trenton’s minor league baseball team, normally known as the Thunder, will celebrate its 25th year as a team by donning special “Pork Roll” jerseys every Friday night during the season.

Pork roll, sometimes known by wrong people as Taylor ham, is a New Jersey specialty that is like ham but so much better. It’s delicious, especially if you’re hungover and you put it on egg and cheese and...I’m sorry where were we? I was daydreaming about pork roll sandwiches.
The first Friday of the special rebranding, on May 18, will apparently involve:
...a special Pork Roll Apron giveaway to the first 1,025 fans, ages 21 and older, when the Thunder host the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles). The night will be a Pork Roll Celebration, presented by Case’s Pork Roll, with special $1 Pork Roll sandwiches available throughout the game.
Personally that sounds like heaven. How many pork roll sandwiches do you think you could eat during one baseball game? My answer is “a heck of a lot.”
Just in case you can’t make it to the giveaway or would like some other various pork roll-branded products, the team also will be selling “unique pork roll-themed merchandise” at the team store during the season. You could have an entire wardrobe of pork roll clothing and merch!
Honestly, who wouldn’t want that? Everybody should want that because delicious food combined with minor league baseball clothing is a dream come true. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find a pork roll sandwich ASAP.
