The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs in a tiebreaker game on Monday to clinch the National League Central. As a result Milwaukee is off until Thursday, when they will open the NL Division Series at home against Colorado Rockies.

The Brewers won their first division since 2011, winning their final eight games of the season to seal the deal. With Monday’s win over the Cubs, Milwaukee also clinched the top seed in the NL playoffs, through the NLCS.
Miller Park will be the site of the first two games of the NLDS, against a Rockies team that lost to Milwaukee in five of their seven regular season matchups. The Brewers were 51-30 in Milwaukee this season, the best home record in the National League.
The Cubs’ loss Monday meant they hosted the NL Wild Card Game on Tuesday night, but were bested by Kyle Freeland on three days rest and the Colorado Rockies in an extra-inning thriller.
The Rockies won nine of their final 10 scheduled regular season games to force a tiebreaker for the NL West, won by the Dodgers on Monday.
