No fan base is perfect, not for any team in any sport. Brewers fans cheered Josh Hader in his first appearance after his homophobic tweets surfaced during the All-Star Break, for example. It wasn’t great! But every fan base is capable of doing perfect, awesome things.
Brewers fans booed Manny Machado every chance they got in Game 6
Now that’s commitment.

On Friday during Game 6 Brewers fans booed Manny Machado. But not just during intros, or during an at bat. Every time they could. It was pretty great, and the booing stayed emphatic long past you’d think a stadium could keep that up. Some real quality booing.
If you missed why exactly Miller Park was booing Machado with all of their might, he did this to Jesus Aguilar while running to first in Game 4. He was fined an undisclosed amount.
They booed him during intros.
Then they booed him during his first at bat.
The boos stayed loud for his second plate appearance.
During his third time up at bat — you guessed it — they booed him.
In the 8th inning, Machado grounded out to short and the crowd switched it up with a “Manny sucks!” chant instead of boos. Manny didn’t let it phase him, and at one point encouraged the crowd to keep going.
However Machado was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts though, so maybe it phased him a little bit.
