David Price has allowed 11 home runs to the Yankees in 2018. Damn.

New York is slugging .816 against the Red Sox LHP this season.

David Price started for the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night in Game 2 of the American League Division Series at Fenway Park. He did not last long, thanks to a familiar problem.

The New York Yankees hit two home runs against Price in the first two innings, and chase the Red Sox starter after he was only able to record five outs. The first was a mammoth blast by Aaron Judge.

Judge has seven home runs in just 16 career playoff games. But this isn’t about him, it’s about Price, who also allowed a blast to Gary Sanchez in the second inning.

Sanchez in his career is 7-for-14 with six home runs against Price. Lordy.

Only two of them were hit this season, when Price has allowed home run after home run to the Red Sox biggest rival. In all, the Yankees have 11 home runs against Price in five starts in 2018, totaling just 17⅓ innings, allowing 23 total runs.

Yikes.

New York this season has 62 total bases in 76 at-bats against Price this season, so if you are keeping score at home:
