This poor kid. You’re pitching in the eighth inning of an elimination game, playing on national television for everyone to watch, and there are two outs. You field a comebacker and have an easy force out to end the inning, maintaining your team’s 3-1 lead.
Ole Miss’ pitcher had a brain glitch in the SEC Tournament, and it will make you cringe so hard
Thank goodness they went on to win the game.

Instead, this happens.
Rather than going to first for the inning-ending force out Parker Caracci threw the ball to home. Where it went over his catcher’s head and allowed multiple runs to score, tying the game. This is about as big a brain glitch as you can find in a situation like this — especially since there wasn’t even a force play at home — but it happens. We’ve all been there in one way or another.
All I can say right here is thank every sports god out there that Ole Miss ended up going on to win in extra innings, salvaging the game and keeping their tournament dreams alive. Otherwise, I don’t want to imagine what Caracci would have felt if his mistake directly contributed to a loss.
