Julio Teheran was activated from the disabled list on Sunday, just in time to continue his Father’s Day dominance for the Atlanta Braves.

After missing nine games with a right thumb contusion, Teheran returned from the disabled list to strike out a season-high 11 in a win over the San Diego Padres. Teheran didn’t allow a hit in his six innings, and walked three.

This continued a pattern for Teheran, who has started four times on Father’s Day in his career, and has yet to allow a run:

Not only has Teheran not been scored upon in his four Father’s Day starts, but in his last three such outings he has allowed no more than one hit.

That’s 28 scoreless innings in his four Father’s Day starts, all wins, with just nine hits and six walks allowed, and 31 strikeouts. That will get it done.
