Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero, Jim Thome, Trevor Hoffman, Jack Morris and Alan Trammell will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday in a ceremony that begins on MLB Network at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Jones, Guerrero, Thome and Hoffman were elected by the Baseball Writers Association of America in January, with Jones and Thome earning induction on their first ballot. Morris and Trammell, teammates on the Detroit Tigers for 14 seasons, were selections by the Veterans Committee in December.
Six players is the most inducted an a single year since 13 were enshrined in 2006, including 12 Negro League players. The last time six major league players were inducted into the Hall of Fame was 1971.
MLB Network coverage begins early, at 11 a.m. ET, with Greg Amsinger and Fran Charles joined by a host of analysts — Peter Gammons, Harold Reynolds, Mark DeRosa and Sean Casey. The ceremony itself starts at 1:30 p.m., and is hosted by Brian Kenny.
