The Red Sox went into the fourth inning of the first game of a four-game set against the Yankees on Thursday night down 4-2. They left the inning up 10-4, and chased not one but two Yankees relievers from the game.
A magical Jackie Bradley, Jr. slide kicked off an 8-run inning for the Red Sox
The defense helped him out a little too.

The spark of that rally was very clearly sparked by a Jackie Bradley, Jr. slide early in the inning to score the first of the eight runs. It was a textbook slide that looked so much more impressive because it came in a rundown.
Bradley was helped immensely by Jonathan Holder’s poor defense, which you can see in the video entailed not holding him back in the first place and then throwing behind him to third base after he’d already broken to home.
Nevertheless, as far as sparks that light a fire go this is one of the most blatant examples. Obviously fans who are not part of either side of this rivalry can get annoyed by the attention to it, but everyone should be able to appreciate this base running and his impressive slide skills.
