Seattle Sounders vs. FC Dallas, 2012 MLS: Brad Evans brace solidifies Seattle’s spot
Sounders clinch no worse than third place in the West and seal FC Dallas’ playoff-less fate.

FC Dallas was given a bit of a gift earlier in the day when the Vancouver Whitecaps lost at home to the Portland Timbers, but were unable to put much pressure on the Sounders.
The Sounders jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Evans converted a penalty in the 32nd minute. Although Dallas tied on Blas Perez's 40th minute strike, they never seemed poised to overtake the Sounders.
Evans got the lead back for the Sounders in the 60th minute, calmly finishing off a Christian Tiffert set up. The Sounders then put the game away when Montero found Mauro Rosales all alone at the back post in the 79th minute.
