Chivas USA has scored just 22 goals in their first 33 games so when they found themselves down 2-0 to FC Dallas in the 90th minute, they looked done. A comeback seemed impossible, but in a very strange and depressing season, the Goats made sure it ended with fireworks and joy. Laurent Courtois scored in the 90th minute, then Juan Agudelo added a goal in the waning minutes of stoppage time to earn Chivas an unlikely 2-2 draw at FC Dallas Stadium.

Goal-starved Chivas somehow managed two late goals away from home to scratch out a 2-2 draw with Dallas in their season finales.

The Goats' defense held up well for much of the match and it looked like they might be able to hold on for a nice draw on the road, but that fell apart in the 73rd minute. David Ferreira hit a gorgeous pass over the top that Jackson tried to bring down and accidentally hit off of his knee and into the net. It wasn't a great finish to a beautiful pass, but it counted all the same.
Fabian Castillo then doubled Dallas' lead 10 minutes before time and again Ferreira had the helper. He played Castillo in alone on goal and the Colombian just slotted the ball home to put the hom side 2-0.
Chivas were done. They had no chance. It was over.
Apparently nobody told Chivas that they were supposed to just go away. Courtois took a pass from Ben Zemanski and hit it awkwardly through traffic so Kevin Hartman couldn't see it. By the time he did, he was diving for a pass past him and the Goats were within one.
Chivas then did the unthinkable and found an equalizer in stoppage time. Courtois got the ball near the endline on the left before awkwardly knocking it towards the middle. It found Agudelo, who did well to settle the ball behind him then poke it across the line to complete the comeback. Chivas’ awful season at least ends on a happy note.
