The long-rumored firing of Robin Fraser was finally made official on Friday. Chivas USA announced his removal, along with assistant coach Greg Vanney, Technical Director and Head Scout Simon Elliott and head trainer Brian Lee. The moves have been expected for at least several weeks as owners Jorge Vergara and Angelica Fuentes have undergone a rather thorough housecleaning since taking over full ownership of the club.
Robin Fraser officially fired as Chivas USA’s head coach
The firing had been rumored for several weeks, but was made official on Friday.

Fraser is the third MLS coach to be fired in the last week, joining former Red Bulls coach Hans Backe and Impact coach Jesse Marsch. There has been some speculation that Chivas USA could actually hire Marsch, a former player for the team, as their next coach. Previous reports have suggested former Chivas de Guadelajara coach Efrain Flores would succeed Fraser.
Fraser went 15-32-21 as Chivas USA coach, including a disastrous finish to the 2012 season that saw his team go winless in their final 14 games of the season.
