Play MLS Fantasy Soccer Manager with SB Nation, win prizes

In addition to most of the SB Nation MLS blogs running their own leagues, we will be running one as well and the winner will get two tickets to a 2014 MLS game of their choice.

We realize we’re a little late to the party Fantasy MLS party, but hopefully it’s not so late as to potentially lose interest. As you may know, many of SB Nation’s MLS blogs have already launched their fantasy leagues through MLSSoccer.com. Most of them are competing for a chance to win $100 gift certificates to spend on MLS Gear and some subscriptions to MLS Live in 2014.

We’ll have some MLS Live subscriptions to give away, but the big prize in our league will be two “Category 1” tickets to any 2014 regular-season MLS game. What’s also nice is that if you are late to the game, our scoring doesn’t start until Week 2 so you haven’t actually missed out on anything, yet.

Hopefully you’re reasonably well versed in Fantasy MLS by now. Basically, you pick a starting XI plus a backup goalkeeper and three backup field players. Each player has a value assigned to them and each team must be built within a certain budget. Don’t like your team? Feel free to make transfers the next week. Here’s how the scoring works, but check out this link for a complete explanation of the rules:
