↵Goran Reljic has been made a free agent after being outpointed by Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 122 this past weekend. The 26-year old, who was recently considered one of MMA’s upcoming prospects after compiling an 8-0 start to his career, has dropped a trio of decisions since returning from a back injury last February that had kept him out of action for the better part of two years.

Back injuries and inactivity are two things that lead to a really difficult road back to success in mixed martial arts. Reljic certainly didn't look the same after returning as he dropped decisions to C.B. Dollaway, Kendall Grove and Soszynski. It isn't a shock to see him get his release and hopefully a guy who was once so highly thought of as a prospect can hit the smaller promotions and get himself back on track through an aggressive schedule to take as many fights as possible. I'm sure if he can rattle off a win streak he'll find himself back in the UFC like so many before him.
