↵“Karo Parisyan’s going to have to pull himself together and get his life together. He’s going to have to figure out the next chapter of his life.”
“I’ll never put a fighter in harm’s way. But Karo came in here tonight and proved he can’t compete at this level anymore.”
Karo Parisyan Released From UFC Contract

- UFC president Dana White talks about Karo Parisyan's future after his UFC 123 loss to Dennis Hallman.
↵Honestly I don’t know what the UFC was thinking bringing Karo back at all. They let him go because of his emotional issues (as well as a painkiller addiction) and in his only fight outside the UFC, Parisyan had yet another panic attack that resulted in him making the promoter change the bout order. He then had trouble with a very mediocre regional fighter and on the strength of that found himself back on the biggest stage in the sport.
↵To expect Karo to perform well on this type of stage after failing to show he was healthy on a smaller stage is quite surprising. I don’t think they put him in “harm’s way” by bringing him back, but he certainly wasn’t in a position to succeed.
