It sounds like the UFC has finally found a landing spot for their featherweight champion. After being nixed from his first title defense at UFC 125 due to an injury, Jose Aldo will get his first taste of the octagon Apr. 30 at Rogers Centre in Toronto. While an opponent has yet to be made official, Dana White has stated that Mark Hominick will get the next shot at Aldo if he can get past George Roop at Saturday night's UFC: Fight For The Troops 2. UFC 129 will feature UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre vs. Jake Shields as its main event.

Phil Davis vs. Matt Hamill
Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson
Jason MacDonald vs. Ryan Jensen

This is shaping up to be a pretty impressive card. St. Pierre fighting in Canada is always great for the sport and while Aldo may not be a legitimate power seller right now I think it’s only a matter of time before he endears himself with the masses. His style is so arresting that he could be a major supplement of excitement if fans don’t get their fix from the welterweight champ.
