Pat Barry was a big favorite to defeat Joey Beltran at UFC Fight for the Troops 2 but he struggled mightily throughout the fight. While all three judges saw the fight as a win for Barry he was in with one of the lowest level heavyweight brawlers the UFC has to offer and found himself controlled at times. Barry had trouble with Beltran's simple boxing combinations and tendency to push him into the cage and control space. In the end it was Barry's hard leg kicks that eventually had Beltran barely able to stand by the final bell and he had clearly pulled ahead. Still, for a guy many consider a big prospect he had far too much trouble in the stand-up with a rough around the edges brawler.
