Round 1 - Gary Copeland is our referee for this bout. Vanier lands a nice left straight to open. They clinch. Woodard lands a nice knee to the head. Knee to the body. Vanier drops down for a takedown, but Woodard stuff. We’re in the fence now. Vanier with a nice knee to the body. They disengage, and we’re at striking distance in the middle of the cage. Good body kick from Woodard. Vanier dives in for a takedown. They scramble. Vanier finally takes him down with authority, but cannot control him on the floor. Back to the feet, Vanier shoots again, Woodard sprawls and grabs a front headlock. They’re back standing now. Good leg kick from Woodard. Nice right hand from Woodard seems to daze Vanier. Vanier shoots and is stuffed again. Vanier with a straight left. We’re clinching again. Big knee from Woodard just misses the head. Another takedown stuffed from Woodard. Thirty seconds now, and it’s a stalemate on the fence.

Round 2 - A sharp left hand drops Vanier early. He seems to have recovered, attacking with a takedown attempt. Woodard knocks him down again. Woodard mounted and throwing punches on Vanier, who had covered up. Gary Copeland gives him every opportunity to continue, but finally steps in. Vanier looks to have injured his leg in the final exchange.
