Bellator 36 Results: Lloyd Woodard Finishes Carey Vanier Early In Round Two

In the second fight of Bellator 36, undefeated Lloyd Woodard battles Carey Vanier. Vanier defeated Rich Clementi in his last fight and lost to Toby Imada in the semifinals of the season two lightweight tournament.

Vanier shoots and is stuffed again. Vanier with a straight left. We’re clinching again. Big knee from Woodard just misses the head. Another takedown stuffed from Woodard. Thirty seconds now, and it’s a stalemate on the fence.

Round 2 - A sharp left hand drops Vanier early. He seems to have recovered, attacking with a takedown attempt. Woodard knocks him down again. Woodard mounted and throwing punches on Vanier, who had covered up. Gary Copeland gives him every opportunity to continue, but finally steps in. Vanier looks to have injured his leg in the final exchange.
