Bellator 36 Results: Rob McCullough Vs. Patricky Freire Round One Live Scoring

In our main event at Bellator 36, “Razor” Rob McCullough meets Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in the final quarterfinal bout of Bellator’s season four lightweight tournament. McCullough is a former WEC lightweight champion. Freire is 7-1 and riding a three-fight winning streak in regional Brazil shows. This is the live scoring for round one.

Round 1 - Gary Copeland is our official for the main event. McCullough comes out with a leg kick, but Freire knocks him with a good one-two that wobbles him. They’re trading wild hooks. Big left hand knocks McCullough to the mat. Freire on top in half-guard, and he passes right into mouth. McCullough hanging on. Freire postures and throws big punches that force McCullough to give up his back. Freire looks strong here. Nice punches from Freire. Freire might have a body triangle. McCullough is pouring blood. Freire has an arm underneath the neck. Gary Copeland instructs McCullough not to grab the glove of Freire. McCullough is in a very bad spot right now. Halfway through the round now. McCullough throwing short, ineffective punches. Freire rolls for an armbar, but misses. McCullough throws lots of punches. Triangle attempt is thwarted. McCullough chopping Freire’s legs with kicks. Just under one minute to go. Copeland allowed McCullough to stand in front of Freire for nearly a minute.
