Bellator 36 Results: Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire Knocks Out ‘Razor’ Rob McCullough Late In Round Three

In our main event at Bellator 36, “Razor” Rob McCullough meets Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in the final quarterfinal bout of Bellator’s season four lightweight tournament. McCullough is a former WEC lightweight champion. Freire is 7-1 and riding a three-fight winning streak in regional Brazil shows. This is the live scoring for round three.

Round 3 - McCullough looking fresher to open round three. Leg kick to the lead leg from McCullough. Two more go unanswered. One-two to the head ends with a leg kick. Freire is not checking kicks. Big right hand from McCullough sends Freire reeling. Freire lands an ineffective spinning back kick. More leg kicks from McCullough. Left hook grazes Freire. McCullough in control of the round at the halfway mark. Right hand from McCullough lands, but Freire counters with a bigger one of his own. Big right hand sends McCullough crumpling to the mat! He lands a couple more shots, but Gary Copeland was already on his way to stepping in!
